Representatives of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) visited the Municipality of Bileća on 3 July 2018 where they met with the Deputy Mayor Milorad Radović.
Speaking on
the investment potentials of the Municipality of Bileća, the Deputy Mayor
pointed out that in the past period they had several successful privatizations,
among which are the facilities of the former Kovnica, bought by Unis Tok from
Kalesija (which operates with the Swedish company SKF), as well as the purchase
of a part of the former factory Bilećanka - Textile Kombinat ad Bileća, so that
another part of the production complex remained available to potential
investors.
It was also
stated that the tourist offer of the Municipality of Bileća was significantly
increased by the construction of a hotel on the Bileća Lake, as the first phase
of the project of a tourist complex that envisages the construction of
bungalows and other accompanying tourist facilities.
After the
meeting in the municipality, FIPA representatives also visited a foreign
investment company - Henkel Adhezivi BH Ltd, and had a meeting with Savo Rikalo
- the company's Director and Mirko Đunić – former Director.
The German
company "Henkel" has been present in BiH for many years, and in 2015,
a new factory "Henkel Adhezivi BH" opened at 6,000 square meters in
Bileća. The site has been selected, among other things, due to the proximity of
the raw material for the production of powdered adhesives produced by this
company.
"Henkel
Adhezivi BH" delivers its cement products for tile adhesives and thermal
insulation to both domestic and neighboring markets, such as Croatia,
Montenegro and Albania.
The factory
currently employs 25 workers, and new employment is planned with the expansion
of business activities.
The meeting discussed
the business environment and current business conditions in the construction
sector, including future plans.
