FIPA: A Memorandum of cooperation with the Economic Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina was signed

The representatives of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina attended the inaugural conference of the Senate of Economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was held on 11 May 2018 in Sarajevo.

On this occasion, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two institutions was signed.

The main purpose of this Memorandum is to enable and to encourage cooperation between the two parties, as well as the high level of implementation of joint activities with the goal to jointly contribute to the economic development of the country.

The Secretary General of the FIPA, Maida Bećirović, participated in a panel discussion on the topic of the Danube Economic Region and the opportunities for companies and for the BiH economy, including Erhard Busek, President of the Senate of Austria and Zara Halilović, representative of the Directorate for European Integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The BiH Senate of Economy will be part of the network of the European Business Council, which has over 260,000 members, and some of the honorary members are Angela Merkel, Sebastian Kurz, Pope Francis and others.

The basic goal of establishing the Senate is that it becomes an important bridge for the development of economic and friendly relations of businessmen from BiH with businessmen from the network of the Europe’s Senate of Economy.

FIPA's co-operation with the BiH Senate of Economy is another opportunity for the promotion of investment projects in BiH and attracting investors.
