- STRENGTHEN PROMOTION ACTIVITIES TOWARD GERMAN INVESTORS
The Director of the Foreign Investment
Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) Gordan Milinić informed the Head of Economics
and Development Department of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in
BiH Sebastian Damm about the FIPA competence, activities that it is carrying
out on the country and investment projects promotion, and the support that is
providing to foreign investors from the registration of the company to the project
implementation.
Speaking about promotional activities, he
pointed out that during 2017 FIPA realized several visits to German companies
within the Outreach campaign in Munich, participated at business meetings in
Berlin, stressing the upcoming visit to the Expo Real Munich Fair from 4-6 October
2017, and meetings with German investors planned for the end of October in
Stuttgart.
Regarding the results of the Outreach campaign,
which was focused on presenting investment opportunities in the BiH
agricultural sector, a German investor announced his visit to BiH for discussing
about investments. When it comes to Expo Real Munich, meetings were arranged
with German businessmen and investors to discuss investment opportunities in
BiH.
Germany is ranked at the 7th
position by the amount of investments in BiH with 560 million BAM invested, and
among the most important German investments are: Haidelberger Zement AG-
Kakanj, Messer Gresheim Haft. and Xella International.
FIPA will strengthen promotional activities
towards German investors in cooperation with the German Embassy in BiH.
