Within the Aftercare activity, on 29 August 2017, representatives of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA), representatives of the City of Tuzla and the Ministry of Development and Entrepreneurship of Tuzla Canton visited companies operating in Tuzla Canton in different sectors such as textile and footwear industry, metal industry, distribution and trade, education and control of machine processing through the programming of modern robots in production.

The company MBT doo Tuzla, founded by the German
capital, plans to start its own machines processing, trade with second-hand industrial
robots, and introducing offline programming for foreign markets.
Importal Diffusion Ltd is engaged in the production
of PVC joinery, with the origin of capital from France. The company exports its
products to the EU market, primarily in France and Germany.
Progetti Bosnia doo Tuzla deals with lohn services
for the world's most famous brands, and plans to realize new investments and to
open new jobs.
Propak doo Tuzla, whose founder is from Croatia,
is engaged in the distribution and trading of food packaging.
These four companies employ over 250 employees
and are planning further expansion.
Companies' representatives outlined as open issues
difficulties in starting a business, expensive costs of notaries and others, discrimination
against foreign investors when applying for tenders, difficulties related to VAT,
long administrative procedures in general, slow procedures related to collection
of receivables, procedures related to obtaining different types of licenses, banking
services, high interest rates and generally the issue of financial services.
They also mentioned as problem criteria and method
of applying to the public invitation of the Federal Employment Bureau, on whose
improvement the competent authorities should work. Furthermore, for companies operating
in the business zone / incubator Lipnica, it is necessary to resolve the issue
of extending the contract between the City of Tuzla and the Government of the Federation
of BiH in the shortest possible time.
When it comes to the Business Zone Kreka-Sjever,
it provides excellent conditions to businessmen for running business and represents
a great opportunity for investors. The permit to construct at this location has
already been given to five companies for a period of 40 years. Renting is quite
favourable; the starting price is 0.008 KM / m2. In this Business Zone there is
place for additional 25 companies.
