Kotor Varoš is known for its leather processing, metal
and wood processing industries in which significant companies from Italy,
Austria, Croatia, and domestic companies are running business. They employ a
large number of workers.
50% of the area represents agricultural land and
forest land, and therefore provide great opportunities for investors in these fields,
with significant support from the municipal administration in terms of
obtaining the necessary documentation and delay in payment of certain fees.
The Municipality currently has about twenty
mini-hydroelectric projects, as well as a water bottling project that will be
delivered to FIPA for presentation to foreign investors.
It was also expressed a need for finding an investor
to install a municipal waste treatment facility in which FIPA will help.
