As part of continued cooperation, during their stay in Shanghai, the delegation of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), led by Director Marko Kubatlija, conducted a reciprocal visit to Jiangsu New Power Energy Co. Ltd, which earlier this year visited Bosnia and Herzegovina to explore investment opportunities.

The delegation had the opportunity to visit the company’s production
facilities and attend a presentation on new technological solutions being developed
by the company.
This reciprocal visit lays the foundation for a
future investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Over the year, FIPA prepared
projects and locations for the company in which it had expressed interest.
During the visit, the delegation inspected potential investment sites and had
meetings with representatives of the competent authorities in Bosnia and
Herzegovina.
The company is headquartered in Xuzhou, China,
and owns more than 20 subsidiaries operating in thermal power generation, paper
and construction materials production, and high-class hotel industry.
During the meeting, representatives of the
Chinese company expressed interest in investing in Bosnia and Herzegovina and
announced a follow-up visit in November to continue investment discussions.
Director
Kubatlija thanked the hosts for their hospitality and kindness shown during the
Bosnian delegation’s stay in Shanghai, and stated that FIPA will provide all
necessary assistance to the Chinese company in the implementation of its
investment.
