The Director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), Marko Kubatlija, and the Director of the Representative Office of the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (CEATEC), Chen Hui, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim to promote and develop investment cooperation between the two countries.

Both parties will make maximum efforts to
promote and develop investment cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and
the People's Republic of China on the basis of cooperation and mutual benefit,
through exchanging information, conducting market research activities,
implementing promotional activities, and organizing training programs and
expert exchanges.
The parties will cooperate in identifying
investment opportunities, in discussions on investment opportunities, as well
as taking necessary actions, within their respective jurisdictions, with the
aim to expand economic activity between their home countries.
They will
encourage activities such as joint participation in fairs, investment
conferences and other events where products, service opportunities and
investments can be presented.
The meeting
discussed, among other things, the current cooperation between BiH and China,
the cooperation of FIPA with the Chinese Embassy with a focus on the
participation of representatives of the relevant institutions at the fair in
Ningbo within the framework of the "Belt and Road" Initiative and
education programs.
During
2025, more Chinese investments are expected in BiH, given the planned
engagement of the Agency and CEATEC in the field of cooperation with Chinese
businesspeople based on the Decision of the Chinese Government to significantly
promote the Chinese economy abroad.
