- Good political relations are the basis for intensifying economic cooperation
The Acting Director of the
Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) Marko Kubatlija
met with the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Greece Dragan Vuković.
They discussed bilateral
relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Greece, the
current situation in our country and European integration, as well as economic
cooperation.
The Ambassador Vuković pointed
out that Greece supports the European integration of BiH, and that it will
continue to advocate in the EU institutions the integration of BiH and the
entire region of the Western Balkans into the EU.
Mr Kubatlija introduced the Ambassador
Vuković to the idea of organizing a business forum in cooperation with
Enterprise Greece and the chambers of commerce in Greece and BiH with the aim to
present targeted investment projects and establish trade cooperation.
Total foreign direct investments
from the Republic of Greece in BiH are estimated at less than 5 million BAM.
One of the most important Greek companies in BiH is Alpro a.d. Vlasenica, which
operates as part of the Alumil group from Greece.
The Ambassador Vuković supported
the idea and offered all support in the organization, and welcomed FIPA's
effort to present opportunities for investment in BiH, attractive sectors,
projects and locations for investing.
