The Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) once again partnered with EEL Events this year in organizing the Southeast Europe Private Equity and M&A Forum, one of the most important regional events dedicated to private equity, mergers and acquisitions. FIPA was represented at the forum by Maida Bećirović, Secretary of the Agency, and Slavica Korica, Assistant Director for Promotion and Analysis.

The forum brought together leading regional investors,
representatives of private equity funds, companies, financial institutions,
advisors, and decision-makers, with the aim of exchanging experiences and
exploring the latest trends in private equity investments and M&A
transactions. Special emphasis was placed on cross-border transactions,
regional business expansion, and new investment opportunities across Southeast
Europe.
Now in its second decade, the forum has established
itself as the region’s central annual gathering of the investment community,
where the most significant transactions from the previous period are analyzed
and expectations and trends for the coming year are outlined.
The forum program featured a series of panel
discussions focused on:
- Regional market trends and
investment outlooks;
- Corporate investments, mergers,
and acquisitions, including cross-border transactions and sector-specific
activities;
- The development of the private
equity market, the identification and execution of investment
opportunities, value creation, and exit strategies;
- Cooperation among investors,
companies, and financial institutions across the region.
The sectors identified as key drivers of growth and
investment activity in the region included:
- The consolidation of the TMT
sector (technology, media, and telecommunications) and the development of
digital infrastructure;
- Healthcare and life sciences;
- Renewable energy and the energy
transition.
For FIPA, participation in and partnership at events
of this kind represent an important opportunity to strengthen regional business
ties, promote the investment potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and showcase
concrete investment opportunities. The forum also provided a platform to
present Bosnia and Herzegovina’s competitive business environment, ongoing
investment projects, and the services FIPA offers to potential investors, with
the aim of attracting greater inflows of foreign capital and encouraging new
investment activity in the country.
