FIPA - MFA: Joint work on promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina and attracting foreign investments
Representatives of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of BiH (FIPA) talked with the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Kuwait H.E. Mehmed Halilović on joint work on the presentation of projects for investing in BiH, the promotion of the country as well as the media campaign "Invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina" in Kuwait.
The Ambassador
Halilović was informed about current activities of the Agency on promotion of the
country and finding investors, cooperation with relevant institutions in Bosnia
and Herzegovina in charge of attracting foreign investments, cooperation with
foreign media in the context of promoting BiH as a location that offers
significant opportunities for investing.
He was also
informed on the current inflow of foreign investments from Kuwait in BiH, which
according to the Central Bank, until December 2015, amounts to 168 million BAM (86
million EUR), and that Kuwait is ranked at 14th place in the list of
the most important investors in BiH.
Mr Halilović
spoke about the current activities of the BiH Embassy in Kuwait in the field of
increasing exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina, upcoming fair of the BiH
products which will be held in Kuwait by the end of the current year, as well
as about project of Outlet Centre which is to be built in the Municipality
Ilijaš, which represents a Kuwaiti investment.
The Ambassador
was requested among other his full involvement in the implementation of the
promotional campaign "Invest in Bosnia and Herzegovina" that FIPA
launched with the aim to further improve the image of the country and to draw attention
of foreign investors to potentials of BiH, as well as in coordination of
activities related to organization of promotional events which will be held in
the coming period in Kuwait.
